Over the years I’ve had great success by using attractive premiums in many tests.
I’ve noticed recently that although premiums are still being used they’re often included as an afterthought.
So I wanted to do a piece this week that might encourage you to sell your premiums a little harder.
First what makes a great premium:
1 Customers crave after it
2 Premium is not easily available
3 Premium has a high perceived value
I’ve seen some premiums be sold ahead of the main product, even a headline that ran something like “How to claim your FREE solar powered calculator”.
You can use it to speed the order up. "Only for the first 20 replies" etc etc.
Or simply sell the benefits of having the premium as hard as you would the main product.
So I urge you to have a look at your premiums and if they are valuable enough to include perhaps they should be being pushed harder.
