At a recent client get together it was interesting to hear their reactions to Facebook.
Most weren’t on Facebook and one came up with: “do you know what they call people who aren’t on Facebook – Productive!”
While everyone agreed, there were a couple who kept very quiet as they were making big bucks from Facebook advertising.
When I approached one client a couple of days later he asked me why he should be looking to test Facebook.
I gave him these 6 reasons:
1. Your main competitor uses it.
2. Over 1 billion people use Facebook EVERY DAY.
3. Ads can be targeted to your market with great precision.
4. Campaigns can be tested cheaply.
5. Tracking is simple.
6. Test results are almost instantaneous.
Of course you need the right strategy, the right copy and the right targeting but one thing’s for sure you shouldn’t be ignoring Facebook just because you don’t use it.
