I know very few people who have tried infomercials in the UK. Production costs are massive and while it may now be possible to test the media more cheaply than before you need mega bucks to get started.
Several of our American friends make a fortune from their infomercials, so I decided to see if we could replicate the response in the UK BUT without the huge cost.
I remember Bill Myers, back almost 20 years ago, produced some highly profitable guerilla Videos. He openly admitted the production values were poor but, with great content, he got away with it.
If you have a product that would benefit from a simple demo you could easily record a guerilla video on your smart phone for zero cost. Then put it up on YouTube with some carefully chosen Keywords and embed the video in your emails.
Hopefully your success will encourage you to step up to test a full-blown infomercial.
